Daycare at Affinity Retreat is more than just a day of sharing with lots of furry friends, fun games, and long walks. Daycare is an excellent way to give our dogs the socialization and exercise they need in a safe and monitored environment.
Separation anxiety, depression, obesity, excessive barking or chewing are good reasons to bring your dog to our Day Care program. Dogs are social animals and require socialization around other dogs and people. Daycare builds positive canine social behavior and provides the opportunity to build on and promote positive social skills in your pet.
Our staff provides constant supervision and care for your pet in an “open-range” environment to allow maximum mobility and freedom of movement. This fosters a more natural environment and promotes a sense of relaxation and happiness in your dog.
We take extra care in making their stay as enjoyable and pleasant as possible just as you would in your own home. Affinity Retreat gives you the freedom and assurance that your pet is safe, healthy and happy.
All daycare services include daily activities and playtime in our secure indoor and outdoor common areas. We offer a secure and friendly “free-range” environment to allow your pet to enjoy their stay with us while offering you peace of mind that they are being taken care of. Our facility also offers “guest suites” for feeding times, general relaxing or whenever your pet might need some quiet time away from the activities in our common areas. Our guest services include meal delivery, housekeeping and laundry and other personal services designed to make your pet right at home during their stay at Affinity Retreat.
Daycare service hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 6:30pm and Saturday from 8am to 12pm.
Daycare hours of service end at the close of business each night. After close of business, the guest will be charged the service rate for hotel services. Check-out time for all hotel guests Monday through Saturday is 12pm. If you need to keep your pet with us past the hotel check-out time, you will be charged for the service rate according to the time your pet leaves our facility: prior to close of business will be charged for daycare services; after close of business will be charged for hotel services.
The fee for daycare is a flat daily rate of $12 per pet. We also offer a weekly special for daycare which includes any 5 days during the week for $50 (Affinity Retreat observes Monday as the first day of each 7-day calendar week).
Affinity Retreat provides each guest with a daily meal delivery schedule which includes feeding twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening. All guests are fed individually and privately for all feedings to discourage competition for food other potentially disruptive behaviors during feeding time. Affinity Retreat can provide your pet with food for an additional charge ($2 per day for Small/Medium guests and $3 for Large guests), but we encourage all owners to provide their own food so that there’s less disruption to your dog’s digestive system. All customer supplied food should be pre-measured for meal-times (such as in individual zip-lock bags) or have measuring cups and specific written instructions to ensure your pet receives the proper amount of food for feeding times.
All pets should be flea and tick free. Guests with signs of fleas and/or ticks will be treated with at the Pet Parent’s expense prior to check-in.
We ask that you limit your pet’s personal belongings. These items should be labeled with a permanent marker before bringing them in. Affinity Retreat is not responsible for damage to a pet’s personal belongings as a result of usage by your pet or other guests in the facility. For your pet’s safety, we cannot accept rawhide, pig ears, or hooves.
If your pet takes any medications, vitamins, or supplements that will need to be administered during his or her stay, please call ahead to make sure we accept the medication being administered. Affinity Retreat does not administer injections.
All medication that accompanies the pet must be in its original container clearly stating the type of medication and the dosage. Over- the-counter (OTC) medications can only be accepted with a pet when they are accompanies by a veterinarian’s dosage recommendation.
